The Marstallmuseum houses a collection of historic state coaches and gala coupés, ceremonial sleighs and riding equipment from the Royal Coach House and saddle-room of the Bavarian rulers. King Ludwig II is represented with magnificent coaches and sleighs, nostalgic imitations of a variety of previous styles, and 26 portraits of his favourite horses by Friedrich Wilhelm Pfeiffer.
The Bäuml collection documents the development of the Manufactory from its foundation in 1747 by Elector Max III Joseph until ca. 1920.
It includes work by the most important master of porcelain sculpture in the 18th century, Franz Anton Bustelli.
